Step 1:

The best way to enter any cabinet is by removing the Bass
driver mounted on the face plate. Be careful at this point
when removing screws from the speaker so as to not slip
with the screwdriver and put a hole in the cone. We're trying
to improve your sound not make it worse! When all screws
are removed, gently remove the Bass driver. With a piece
of tape mark the positive lead on the speaker wire connection
in order to avoid any confusion when re-installing later.

Remove all the currently used insulation. Be careful not
to accidentally disconnect any wires from the crossover
which is usually mounted on the bottom of speaker cabinet.
Remove all staples or other fastening material that was
used to attach the insulation or to keep it in place.

Step 3:

Size up and install one side at a time, trial-fitting them
into place without any glue. BassLine can be cut
to fit by using a razor knife. Cut along the rows, then
bend and break. Cover all surfaces: top, bottom, sides and
back. There is no need to apply BassLine on the front
face plate. Using the Felt Pen mark the back of each panel
with a number and use the same number on the corresponding
cabinet area.

When all your pieces are trial-fitted, remove them from
the cabinet and lay them out in the order of application.
Because contact cement dries quickly, only install one panel
at a time. Place panels with flat side facing up. Brush
glue on the raised pads of each panel. Apply glue to the
inside cabinet surface where the panel will be installed.
When you are finished applying contact cement to both surfaces
wait for 2 minutes and then check if both surfaces are tacky
(your finger will stick just a bit to the surface.) The
BassLine SpeakerPanels
may require a second thin coat of contact cement due to
the absorbent nature of the product.

Step 5:

Place the panels back into place and press hard on all areas
of the panel to make sure you have a good bond. Repeat process
for each side. Precut, cement, apply.

Replace the bass driver being careful to once again guard
the cone while replacing screws. Allow at least 15 minutes
for glue to set. Then you can reconnect your speaker to
hear and feel the difference of BassLine!
|
We suggest that you take this time to compare the sound of your finished
speaker with that of the other which does not yet contain BassLine.
We like to call this the "A to B Test". This is an excellent sales tool
for showing your friends, family or future customers what BassLine
can do.
Enjoy your new enhanced sound!
